Locus Capital Partners (Locus), a M&A advisory firm, is pleased to announce that Korea Yakult (Korea Yakult) has acquired Benesse Korea, the affiliate of Benesse Holdings. Locus advised Korea Yakult in the transaction.

Benesse Korea owns home-school materials brand and provides monthly rec-education system for preschoolers. Currently, Benesse Korea has approximately 130,000 members with accumulated members over one million.

Korea Yakult with its subsidiary company called “Neungyule” that operates education business for adults is glad to secure its market leader position by widening its education business area to all-age groups from preschoolers to adults throughout the transaction.

Locus acted as an exclusive financial advisor to Korea Yakult by managing and executing the entire deal process together with accounting, tax, and legal advisors.
